BCS stands for Bowl Championship Series and is the pinnacle of the college football postseason.  In conjunction with the BCS, Bowl Games of America hosts the Band Championship Series to determine the high school field show national champion.

For 2009, bands from all over the country will participate in a variety of events as a part of the BCS Band Championship Series Festival in Miami, Fort Lauderdale or surrounding areas, including the field show competition, dinner, dance awards ceremony, and halftime show.
